Well today’s subject was fun! The baby was up until midnight last night, up twice in the middle of the night and my alarm was set for 8:20 this morning. I rolled out of bed and scurried around trying to get us all ready to leave to head across town to the Richmond Wildlife Center to take some photos of their animals available for adoption.
I was admittedly a little nervous when I saw the cramped quarters and dim lighting. Small, dimly lit areas and fast-moving subjects aren’t exactly a photographer’s dream… especially when you prefer shooting in natural light. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how well the photos turned out! Feeling quite proud of myself, at the moment 😉
Anywho, here are a couple of the animals I met today. There are a few rabbits, a pigeon, some ducks, and a tortoise available for adoption. The possums and little wild rabbit pictured are just for fun 🙂 You can visit the Richmond Wildlife Center’s website at www.richmondwildlife.org or contact them at 804-378-2000 if you’re interested in adopting!
