I’ve had so many sessions so far this year and I’m terrible at blogging each and every one, so I am just going to randomly select a few to blog.  And a lot of them will be unicorns because I’ve photographed a ton of them this year!

I LOVED Mallory’s session.  She is a super sweet girl and was so great and so cooperative.  If you have any young children, you know that can always be hit or miss depending on the day.  She was a trooper, despite the cooler weather, and I was so ecstatic to show her mama these images!  Her album and canvas turned out BEAUTIFUL.  I can’t wait for her to see her entire order!

With summer in full swing, it’s a great opportunity to get your family portraits updated!  If you’re going on vacation this year, it really is the perfect to get some updated images of your brood all together.  I travel all over and would love to capture some beautiful pictures of your family on the beach, in the mountains, wherever you may be!  I love working in new locations and my sessions are fully planned out in advance so everyone knows what to wear, what we’ll be doing, what types of images we are shooting for, etc.  That way no one is left feeling uncertain about the session.

If you’d like to schedule your summer portrait session, please e-mail me using the contact form on this website (anikacolombo@gmail.com) and we will plan out an amazing session that fits your family’s style and personalities perfectly!

It has been a busy summer/fall season for me.  I’ve learned a ton of new tricks and have been trying to play around with new techniques.  It’s been fun!  But my poor, poor neglected blog, ha.  Also had this awesome lady come visit me and help me second shoot a wedding!  We’re such goobers… took this photo in a mirror after the wedding reception.  I wish she lived closer to me so I had a permanent photo buddy!

Here are a couple photos from some weddings I’ve been keeping myself busy with this fall.  I love photographing weddings.  I love seeing people so happy and I love being able to capture memories from one of the happiest days of their lives.

I will have some more photos posted soon!  Make sure you become a fan of my Facebook page to receive updates!  This month I have two big events going on for holiday photos.  I am offering mini-sessions in Mechanicsville as well as Doswell, so check my page for details!  It’s a great deal, fun for the kids, and a great way to get photos for your holiday cards!

I did some photos for the Daltons a couple days ago, and holy MOLY is their 8 month old baby boy adorable!  This was my first time working with this awesome little family– they told me they hadn’t had professional photos taken of him since he was born.  This little stud is a natural model though–  he definitely knew how to work the camera.  I think his parents may need to start bringing him around more often!  😉  We started outside taking a few family photos, and a few with just Booker before heading inside because it was pretty chilly and miserable out.  Because seriously, how could you say no to this face?

Once we came in, Booker was a pro.  He LOVED wearing those sunglasses.  They had the most adorable little 3 piece suit and tie for him for some early Easter pictures.  I wish I could share every picture I took of this kid, that’s how cute and photogenic he was… but I will save some suspense for his parents when they get the CD once I finish editing them all.  Here’s a sneak peek of his photoshoot!

Reeves family pictures

I was bored last week and knew the weather was going to be nice, so I offered a cheap mini-shoot to the first couple people to message me on my Facebook page (which I do every so often, so go become a fan!). Carey posted almost immediately that she wanted in, so I had her family out a few nights ago. They are a wild bunch! They brought along their two kids as well as their 3 boxers and it was a fun chaos.

The kids and I (of course, being as mature as I am) giggled pretty much the whole time as we tried to get the dogs to cooperate. It was funny. There was just so much new stuff for them to look at. Horses, cows, cat, horse poop!

They were so cute and the kids were so sweet too. The weather was really nice and although we didn’t get the sunset until it was almost dark (phooey), it was still a great evening for a quick little photo shoot. Photographing pets can be a little tricky since they move so fast, especially if they’re in a new setting, but I love a challenge and I love meeting people’s pets 🙂

Here’s a few more photos from their shoot.  Enjoy!
